The Talon type ship of the game Star Trek Armada is the Romulan's scout ship. It is build by the Shipyard. It can be enhanced with a Tachyon Detection Grid to detect cloaked ships. As such it is fast, has a large scanning radius but on the other hand it has only a small crew, very limited weapons and rather low shields. These ships are not meant for battle but reconnaissance. The Romulan variation is special as it has his own cloaking device, making it invisible for ordinary units and ships. This makes it very sneaky right from the beginning, which suits the Romulan play stile of sneaking, information gathering and surgically striking particularly well.
