-Sehr einfach: Von CD installieren und den Patch 1.1.1.0 anwenden. Für Opposing Force muss man dann auch kein Update mehr vornehmen und als Basis für CS taugt es dann auch. Ein Crack ist nicht notwendig, solange man einen validen CD-Key verwendet. Wichtig beim Patchen ist nur, dass man die richtige Sprachversion nimmt. Englische Patches gehen nicht auf der Deutschen HL-Version und anders rum auch nicht. Ob's Bots dazu gibt, ist mir nicht bekannt. Wenn sich er mehr dafür interessiert ist Eigenrecherche angesagt. Für neuere [[Counter-Strike]] 1.5-Server ist es ggf. notwendig, den 1.1.1.2er Patch anzuwenden. Bei diesem scheint die Sprachversion wiederum egal zu sein. Er ersetzt nicht zuletzt auch die alten [[World Opponent Network|WON]]-Master-Server mit den privat betriebenen WON2-Servern des [[http://www.steamlessproject.nl/|Steamless-Projects]]. Damit gibt es wieder Server-Abfragen, nur halt nicht auf von Valve betriebenen Servern, sondern auf privat betriebenen.
